Control Arm Bushing Tool

Arguably one of the most neglected suspension components on the HMMWV/Hummer H1 is the control arm bushings and for good reason. Using the old school methods of burning them out is tedious, messy and hazardous and if you are able to find a shop that can press them out you'll be lucky to not be charged upwards of $800-$1200. So as one could imagine, there are a lot of worn, torn and rotten bushings out there. These worn bushings contribute to bad alignment which lead to excessive wear on tires, loose steering feel, compromised ride quality and overall poor handling.
 
Developed using high strength 4140 steel and DOM tubing machined lathed to exact dimensions, our control arm bushing tool is built with quality as top priority. What makes this tool a must have is the fact that it turns an otherwise expensive or labor intensive job, into one that can be done in the comfort of your garage with a simple impact driver. 
 
* We recommend replacing bushings with part# 12506949 which are the updated AM General bushings with smooth, non-serrated ends.
